Common CBD Questions

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) oil or CBD hemp oil is derived from the stalk and seed of cannabis (hemp) plants and is a natural botanical concentrate that is high in the compound CBD. Pure CBD hemp oil is extracted from plant varieties that are naturally abundant in CBD. Extraction processes are used to capture the pure cannabidiol as well as other nutritious material such as omega-3 fatty acids, terpenes, vitamins, chlorophyll, amino acids, and other phytocannabinoids like cannabichromene (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN) and cannabidivarin (CBCV). Pure hemp cannabidiol oil can be consumed directly as a nutritional supplement. With recent advances in CBD hemp oil product development, we are able to provide a variety of CBD hemp oil products, including concentrated oils, water miscible, and powders.

Is CBD Legal in all States?

Unfortunately, it is not legal in all states. Some states have restrictions on CBD being sold and shipped (even online). Our advice is that you do your research before buying.

Zero THC - But isn't there a trace amount of THC in CBD?

Pure CBD Hemp Oil used by releafCBD™ contains zero trace amounts of THC (the compound known for creating a euphoric high in the body) and is 100% legal to import, purchase, and use in the US States and over 40 countries.

A number of CBD Oil products in the market do in fact contain trace amounts of THC which need to be at or below 0.3% to be legal. However, since THC is fat-soluble it can compound in the body, and while you won't get "High" or feel any euphoric effects, it still could potentially show up in your system if tested for during a drug test. If you are concerned about this, then you should seek out only products that have the proper documentation showing 0.00% THC in the products. If documents are not online, then request that information.

What's the difference between CBD and THC?

CBD is the second most common of the more than 85 cannabinoids identified in the cannabis plant behind tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which found in Marijuana Plants. But unlike THC, CBD is non-psychotropic and therefore doesn’t cause a euphoric high. Pure CBD (meaning zero trace of THC) is also legal in the US States whereas THC is still illegal in some states and countries.

Can I travel with CBD?

Yes, you may travel with CBD under the liquid container size limit as with any other liquids. We recommend that the CBD you travel with contains zero THC and that you are traveling to and from states that are CBD Legal so just be sure you do your research prior to traveling.

TESTING STANDARDS

What is Batch Tracking?

Batch Tracking is how a manufacturer tracks all of the products from the seeds planted in the ground to the products we consume. Every product sold on releafCBD has a thorough chain-of-custody and Seed-To-Sale tracking for each CBD batch used to produce each product. While this is not required by law, we believe in transparency and the importance of purity when it comes to our products and our bodies. Our manufacturing partner CBD Global has established the first and only Cannabis Transparency Standard™ in the CBD industry and each product sold through releafCBD strictly follows these standards.

Why should I care about tracking and reports?

Knowing what we put in or on our bodies determines our health, wellbeing, and mental acuteness. When talking specifically about hemp CBD products, knowing how the product was grown, extracted, manufactured, tested and sold should be expected by consumers. That's why we require full chain-of-custody and Seed-to-Sale documentation of the entire process along with obtaining third-party lab testing that adheres to the Cannabis Transparency Standards™ ensuring that we are providing the purest CBD products possible. Transparency protects you and enables trust in our brands.

Do you have Certificates of Analysis (COA's)?

Yes, we do... Every batch of product we sell has an associated COA provided by our manufacturer CBD Global.
