Common CBD Questions
What is CBD?+
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil or CBD hemp oil is derived from the stalk and seed of cannabis (hemp) plants and is a natural botanical concentrate that is high in the compound CBD. Pure CBD hemp oil is extracted from plant varieties that are naturally abundant in CBD. Extraction processes are used to capture the pure cannabidiol as well as other nutritious material such as omega-3 fatty acids, terpenes, vitamins, chlorophyll, amino acids, and other phytocannabinoids like cannabichromene (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN) and cannabidivarin (CBCV). Pure hemp cannabidiol oil can be consumed directly as a nutritional supplement. With recent advances in CBD hemp oil product development we are able to produce a variety of CBD hemp oil products, including concentrated oils, drops, and powders.
Zero THC - But aren't there trace amounts in CBD?+
Pure CBD Hemp Oil used by releafCBD™ contains zero trace amounts of THC (the compound known for creating a euphoric high in the body) and is 100% legal to import, purchase, and use across all 50 US States and over 40 countries.
A good amount of CBD Oil in the market contains trace amounts of THC, generally less than 1%, and is technically below the legal limit. However, since THC is a fat-soluble compound it can stay in the body. While you won't get "High" or feel any euphoric effects, it still could potentially show up as a false positive in your system if tested for.
So if you are concerned about this, then you should seek out only products that have documentation showing Zero THC.
What's the difference between CBD and THC?+
CBD is the second most common of the more than 85 cannabinoids identified in the cannabis plant behind tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which found in Marijuana Plants. But unlike THC, CBD is non-psychotropic and therefore doesn’t cause a euphoric high. Pure CBD (meaning zero trace of THC) is also legal in all 50 US States where THC is still illegal in most states and countries.
Why do my Honey Whipped oil applicators have different amounts of oil in them?+
Our oils are measured to 1 gram for every single Honey Whipped applicator. However, due to the thickening of our oils and the process of packaging them, two things can happen. 1) The oil can coat the inside of the applicator wall during shipping as it's rolled around making it seem as though it is filled with more product than it actually is. 2) During the filling process, the oil can trap air pockets which displaces the oil onto the sides of the applicator making it also appear that there is more product than is actually there. Once you dispense the oil you should begin to see the oil condence down the proper amount and may even see small air bubbles coming from the applicator. This is completely normal.
Our Testing Practices
What is Batch Tracking?+
Batch Tracking is what we use to track all of our products from the seeds planted in the ground to the product we consume. This is called Seed-To-Sale tracking. While this isn't required by law just yet, we believe in transparency and the importance of purity when it comes to our products and our bodies.
Why should I care about tracking and reports?+
Knowing what we put in or on our bodies determines our health, wellbeing, and mental acuteness. When talking specifically about hemp CBD products, knowing how the product was grown, extracted and processed should be expected by consumers. That's why we require Seed-to-Sale documentation of the entire process along with obtaining third-party lab testing to ensure that we are sourcing truly pure CBD. Purity protects you, our customer, and enables trust in our brand.
Do you have Certificates of Analysis (COA's)?+
Yes we do!... And more! Every batch of product we sell has an associated COA attached provide by our manufacturer. The COA's and other reports can be seen using the Batch Tracking code on the label of our products and entering them into the search bar found at seed2sale.org.
